Hi, I’m Jessie, owner of The Book Nook right here in the heart of Saranac Lake. I grew up on Long Island, but everything changed the moment I arrived up north for Paul Smith’s College. The beauty and quiet magic of Saranac Lake wrapped around me and never let go. Opening a bookstore has always been one of those deep, persistent dreams—and now, in the Adirondacks, it’s real.

I’m the one sweeping the floors, unpacking boxes at dawn, geeking out over books I can’t stop thinking about, and yes, probably the person you’re texting when you need to know if we have that title in stock. Running this little shop is equal parts magic and glorious chaos—and it’s my dream come true. Whether you’re a regular who knows every shelf or just passing through on an Adirondack adventure, I’m so glad our paths crossed here.
